总结:Burnout Syndrome is one of the most evident problems in the teaching field, causing a negative impact on health and professional performance. According to studies, one of the variables that can affect the development of the syndrome is personality traits. In this way, this research analyzes the Burnout Syndrome in a population of 70 secondary school teachers from the "Marieta de Veintimilla" Educational Unit and its relationship with personality traits. For the study, a descriptive, correlational and cross-sectional methodology was used, with a quantitative approach. To measure the syndrome, two psychological reagents were used: the Maslach Burnout Inventory to assess job stress in teaching staff and the NEO FFI personality inventory was used to assess personality traits. The results indicated that the Burnout Syndrome is present in 14.3% of the participating teachers, and the personality trait that predominates is "neuroticism", however, in the Spearman correlation tests it was possible to show that there is no Burnout Syndrome, statistically significant relationship between the variables studied, although a weak degree of correlation between them is observed
