Shrnutí:The research is the subject of this work that I put to the consideration of the National University of Loja and the general public arising from the need to analyze the issue entitled "Genetically modified organisms and their regulation under the legislation ECUATORIANA" , social problem that has taken shape in recent years due to the lack of legal regulation in order to establish the parameters for the introduction of genetically modified organisms, their use and consumption in our country, whose disproportionate use is causing effects on the environment and health of human beings in all their environment; that is why it is necessary to structure our Organic Law on Food Sovereignty, according to the social reality that encompasses this issue. It was made to approach the problem from the point of social, economic and legal terms, analyzing it in its national and international context, based on the analysis of comparative law, which has given me light to propose recommendations and solutions to this problem as well as a draft legal reform that somehow will help address this social phenomenon. The environmental impact is the alteration that occurs in the environment as a result of carrying out an activity with respect to the situation that would exist if you do not perform, as a direct or indirect consequence of atopic actions that may cause alterations affecting health. The productive capacity of natural resources and the essential ecological processes. Agricultural activities within the Ecuadorian government have been highly productive for farmers, but we must ask at what cost, if they stop producing land overuse of agrochemicals and GMOs, have resulted in some environmental problems. Most provinces is supplied by and domestic agricultural sector, the high demand for better quality of grains, cereals and others, while its use and overexploitation is causing great damage to the environment and human health, despite its great economic benefit, which was also the consumption and supply local demand. The use and consumption of these genetically modified organism, on the other hand, have led to certain environmental, health and genetic changes in agricultural pests. The most affected is the land resource, as has increased overuse for a better product, besides other pollution of the environment.
