| סיכום: | Eating a healthy diet is a practice related to an increase in life expectancy, better metabolic parameters, maintenance of cardiovascular health and psychological health of individuals. Excess weight, eating disorders and lack of physical activity in young people constitute an area of concern at the national level, therefore, the present work determined the healthy habits of the medical students of the Universidad Nacional de Loja in a sample of 259 students from the different cycles and parallels, the study was descriptive with a cross-sectional quantitative approach. Two surveys were applied, one related to eating and hydration habits; and the second, related to evaluating physical activity. The results reveal that most of the students who participated in the research are female and the age range is 17 to 20 years old. It is evident that 7 out of 10 medical students have healthy eating and hydration habits. Most of them consume fruits, meats and chicken and more than six glasses of water daily. Regarding physical activity, more than half of the research participants do not practice regular physical activity. Those who do engage in regular physical activity do so between two to three days a week. It is concluded that most of the participants have healthy eating and hydration habits accompanied by insufficient physical activity |
