La pandemia de la Covid-19 y su afección en la situación socioeconómica de la parroquia Lauro Guerrero, Cantón Paltas, provincia de Loja, año 2020.

The purpose of this research is to determine the impact on the socioeconomic situation of the Lauro Guerrero parish in the canton of Paltas, province of Loja due to the Covid-19 pandemic in the year 2020. Within the problems encountered, the presence of conditions affecting the living conditions of the inhabitants of the study area was recognized. For the above mentioned, through the research it is intended to evaluate in a more detailed way which are those conditions of greater affection caused by the pandemic where an investigative process linked to the establishment of research objectives was established. The methodology applied has a quantitative and qualitative approach since surveys were applied to the inhabitants of the Lauro Guerrero parish and to the authorities of the Autonomous Decentralized Government of the parish that allowed to provide information on the main socioeconomic factors that affected the population of the study area and to know which were the measures adopted by the Municipality of Paltas and the parish GAD to combat these conditions generated by Covid-19. In conclusion, as a final result, it was possible to recognize the lack of inclusion and participation of community actors in decision-making on public issues such as strategies and measures to improve the social and economic conditions of the needs presented by the pandemic in the parish of Lauro Guerrero.
