Opis
Streszczenie:The study explores the relationship between intrafamily communication and dissocial behavior in adolescents in the families of the Eucaliptos neighborhood, Loja. The main objective was to analyze how the dynamics of communication in the home affect the dissocial behavior of adolescents, a latent problem in society. The methodology adopted a quantitative approach, with a descriptive scope, applying surveys and validated tests such as the Family Communication Scale (FCS) and a psychometric questionnaire based on the DSM-IV to evaluate dissocial behavior. The sample consisted of 108 families with adolescent members. The results revealed that 35% of the families presented a low level of intrafamily communication, with notorious deficiencies in the expression of feelings, sincerity and conflict resolution. Likewise, it was identified that 46% of adolescents lie to avoid obligations, and 35% almost always tend to be absent from school. A significant prevalence of aggressive and dishonest behaviors linked to the lack of open and empathic communication within the home was also found. It is concluded that families that maintain open communication show lower levels of disruptive behaviors in their adolescents; evidencing a direct relationship between poor intrafamily communication and the presence of dissocial behaviors in adolescents, underlining the importance of strengthening common bonds between families and adolescents.
