Estudio del comportamiento electoral durante el período 2014 al 2023, en las elecciones de alcaldía del cantón Loja.

The present work addresses the electoral behavior of the urban population of the city of Loja, through the survey technique, it brings us closer to know what elements are determining the behavior of the Loja electorate at the time of deciding their vote for mayor in the canton, for which it was carried out through the survey tool (n=266). Among the main characteristics that are noticed is a caudillista pattern that has affected the local political scenario, the rationality of voters to base the analysis of their choice on the proposals of the candidates and the relationship between the performance of political figures for a future reelection of the same, but there is an entrenched personalistic nature, this is evident in a map of actors, through this emerged a collateral result, on the decreasing electoral participation and the change in the presentation of lists, leaving behind the coalitions or political alliances of more than three organizations. Also, an indecision gor apathy towards a tendency of the majority of the norms that regulate the electoral processes can be appreciated, with the exception of the so famous reelection, which particularly for the study area prefers not to be repeated under the current conditions.
