| Sumario: | This project based processing in the implementation of a company dedicated to the production of improved in Canton Gonzanamá and marketing in the province of Loja guinea pigs, whose approach is based can achieve optimal and cost-effective production, for which the execution of a feasibility study that demonstrates the end of its development the profitability and financial viability of the project is necessary. That said, as the implementation of an investment project, not only is measured based on a good idea, but you have to demonstrate the feasibility from the point of view of market opportunities and results that yield the analysis and economic evaluation - financial. However, in recent times the new economic trends require implement policies, objectives, strategies and quantitative targets to be consistent with the patterns of globalization and competitiveness, especially in the productive sectors; one of them is the case of industry livestock. Currently, the development of cavicultura (guinea pig production) has been gaining ground in the Ecuadorian market, given the low level of initial investment, minimum production costs, rapidly changing population, value and product demand. Although the management of these animals require more attention and care per unit of product compared to the larger species, incorporating UNIVERSIDAD NACIONAL DE LOJA “PROYECTO DE INVERSIÓN PARA LA PRODUCCIÓN DE COBAYOS EN EL CANTÓN GONZANAMÁ Y SU COMERCIALIZACIÓN EN LA PROVINCIA DE LOJA” 9 process using guinea pigs of improved breed, parallel to adequate food, ensure quality meat, since guinea pig meat is an important source of animal protein, excellent product quality, high protein and low fat, same as compared to other meats, nutritional desirable features make this product in the market. Evidenced qualities and essential characteristics of this food and by highlighting the objectives has developed this feasibility study, for which the following considerations are established: Technically, the company will be located in the Purunuma neighborhood, belonging to the parish of the same name, the Canton Gonzanamá, its geographical location is considered a strategic place to reach the main consumer product sectors in the province, mild climate is optimal for the guinea pig to develop properly. The company called " GONZACUY ", with an area of 1 ¼ divided hectare between two parcels of land (one of 1 hectare and the other ¼ hectare), distributed as follows: 511 m2 for construction of physical infrastructure, 1 2 hectares for growing forage (alfalfa and maralfalfa), the infrastructure comprises a warehouse intended for breeding and rearing of guinea pigs, with a capacity of 191 ponds and 191 cages where in the front will be established physical space to perform administrative activities. UNIVERSIDAD NACIONAL DE LOJA “PROYECTO DE INVERSIÓN PARA LA PRODUCCIÓN DE COBAYOS EN EL CANTÓN GONZANAMÁ Y SU COMERCIALIZACIÓN EN LA PROVINCIA DE LOJA” The plant with 1.2 hectares for growing forage can reach a capacity to feed a campus with 1,000 females. To start production with 100% of the installed capacity indicates that during the five year life of the project space for growing forage can ensure supply of food on campus. Prior to the launch of a market research project was conducted to determine the rates of supply and demand for this product and thereby identify markets with greater business opportunities, to establish which demand focused on four segments restaurants, supermarkets, brokers and small and medium producers, located in the main districts of the province, of which he was considered to have greater representation in the purchase of this product. Among the main aspects analyzed were: preferences, suppliers, purchase frequency, quantity, price, payment terms and delivery, promotions and advertising. Aspects that after analysis concluded that between 69% respondents acquired guinea pigs to be allocated to the activity performed each, while 31% represented by supermarkets indicates not buy it because its sale is not typical in their shops. Given these conditions, the project only considers three segments as potential customers. The market in turn allowed us to determine that the current demand is 103,949 guinea pigs and overall unmet demand for all segments, which amounts to 11,061 guinea pigs annually. The technical study, applied to determine the feasibility of implementing the shed and necessary facilities required in breeding guinea pigs, describes the various activities of the production process for the breeding facilities, biosecurity, tech breeding, feeding and nutrition, and disease control breeding and dressing process and discard for sale, the same to be held at different stages and presentations, while the distribution is determined physical spaces of the plant, defining labor use, food for guinea pigs and the necessary basic infrastructure. Administratively, the business is structured: 1 General Manager, Secretary Contadora 1, 1 veterinarian (contract work ), 1 galponero, 1 farmer and 1 driver / delivery ( freight contract ). Funding for the project will be carried out with 64.22 % (USD 26,918.26) from a credit applied to the CFN National Financial Corporation, and 35.78 % (USD 15,000.00) to be covered by the contribution of shareholders.Through the financial study, financial resources were quantified to run the project, ie all costs and expenses that will be incurred to carry out the process of production and marketing of guinea pigs at different stages and presentations. Which followed the economic evaluation of the project is done, using financial ratios to consider the value of money over time, as the net UNIVERSIDAD NACIONAL DE LOJA “PROYECTO DE INVERSIÓN PARA LA PRODUCCIÓN DE COBAYOS EN EL CANTÓN GONZANAMÁ Y SU COMERCIALIZACIÓN EN LA PROVINCIA DE LOJA” present value NPV, Benefit Cost Ratio, Internal Rate of Return IRR, Capital Recovery Period and Coefficient of Sensitivity Analysis, which are based on the net cash flow. The Net Present Value NPV is USD 49.398,48; positive value that demonstrates the feasibility and viability of the project, thus indicating that its implementation is profitable. The Internal Rate of Return IRR for its part will be 51,16 % calculated for the period of 5 years, clearly evidencing a higher rate compared to the opportunity offered by public and private financial institutions in the country profitability. The recovery period of investment is 2 years, 1 months and 13 days, helping them to keep quiet to make future investment decisions. Through both the technical, administrative and financial results of the present investigation and through the analysis from the experiences provided by people engaged in this activity and know the market, it is concluded that the project is feasible to implement, because it considers that the installation of a producer and marketer of guinea pigs company, is a technical and commercially viable business, as well as financial and cost-effective, because, by applying the system tech commercial breeding get a nutritious product quality and excellent fit for human consumption, further ensure their acceptability in the market the company ensure its permanence in it. |
