Shrnutí:This research work called: CHILDREN'S LITERATURE AND ITS RELATION TO BASIC GENERAL EDUCATION FIRST DEGREE CHILDREN SOCIAL SKILLS DEVELOPMENT “EL BUEN PASTOR" SCHOOL QUITO CITY. PERIOD 2013-2014. ALTERNATIVE GUIDELINES. It has been structured and developed in accordance with the Rules of Academic System of the National University of Loja. The overall objective was formulated: Raise awareness among teachers and parents about the importance of using children's literature in the daily work of the children in the first year of basic education. The methods used are: Scientist, Inductive-Deductive, Descriptive and Statistical Model; The techniques used are: The Survey, which was applied to the Teachers of Basic General Education first degree children to learn about the use of children's literature in the daily work ; and Parents to determine the Social Skills of their children. Besides an Observation aimed at children to assess the development. It is concluded that: 50% of the teachers surveyed ranging used and read fairy tales to children in their classes and do every day. But there is another 50% read children's literature spending a day, it is important to note that it is necessary to incorporate children's literature in the classroom, not from a purely academic perspective, but with the firm intention that this will help when they are able to develop and use skills in the classroom and outside the school context; while 100% of the interviewed teachers say they choose traditional classic stories. According to the results of the observation guide is concluded that: 37% of children have a Social Skills Development Very Satisfactory; 34% Satisfactory; and 29% Unsatisfactory.
