The project ́s main question is the following: Considering institutional capacity, municipal participation and public participation, how can economic sustainability be achieved when the Autonomous Decentralized Government manages solid waste in El Pangui canton? The research project ́s overall objective is the following: Analyze economic sustainability when the Autonomous Decentralized Government manages solid waste in El Pangui canton. The methodology used in this research project is non-experimental given that it is focused on observing and analyzing current solid waste management practices without manipulating variables. The results are conclusive and confirm that, currently, the waste collection is not done correctly. Thus, achieving circular economic sustainability in waste management is not possible without educating stakeholders. |
