| Shrnutí: | Parental involvement in the academic process of students is a variable closely linked to learning and itself with academic performance. Therefore, it was considered necessary to propose the present research called "Responsible parenthood to improve student learning" 8th "A" of the School "November 18", afternoon section, Loja. 2016-2017 "; for which we worked with the following general objective Implement an educational alternative on responsible parenthood that allows to improve academic performance and thus achieve greater learning in the students of Eighth "A" of the School "November 18", afternoon section, Loja . 2016-2017. The type of study was descriptive, with pre-experimental, field and crosssectional design, the methods used were inductive, scientific, analytical, and statistical; Techniques such as observation, interviewing, and instruments such as the Perceived Parental Competence Scale (children's version) and two surveys with themes related to parental involvement, applied to both teachers and students were also used. The population comprised 3928 participants of the educational institution; and the sample consisted of 6 teachers, 29 students and 29 parents. An educational alternative is presented to counteract the problems encountered. The results indicated diminished scores in the dimensions of disciplinary consistency and social desirability, and insufficient parental involvement. After the application of the educational alternative, an advance in the students' school performance was achieved, recommending its constant application to improve student learning and achieve greater communication between family and institution. |
