| Samenvatting: | The present investigative work called "PREGNANCY AND ACADEMIC PERFORMANCE IN STUDENTS FROM THE JURIDICAL, SOCIAL AND ADMINISTRATIVE FACULTY OF THE NATIONAL UNIVERSITY OF LOJA AND THE INTERVENTION OF SOCIAL WORKERS", responds to the need to determine how pregnancy influences performance academic of the students of the Legal and Administrative Faculty of the National University of Loja. In this sense, the research aims to contribute to the National University of Loja, through strategies framed in an intervention proposal, developing theoretical and practical activities; through talks, conferences, coexistence, in order to strengthen the teacher-student relationship in the pregnancy process, so that the student has a good academic performance. The specific objectives made possible the scientific argumentation of the object of study, determining the environment of the students in a state of pregnancy and referring to their academic performance, in order to design a proposal that involves all members of the educational community. To validate the knowledge acquired during the research process, the scientific method was used, aided by complementary methods such as descriptive, inductive, deductive, analytical and bibliographic, which allowed meeting the objectives set, starting with the scientific support of the analysis categories, making possible the justification of the work given that it has theoretical value and social relevance, likewise the methodology used allowed us to make significant findings where it is determined that pregnancy does influence the academic performance of students due to the affectation of the biological, psychological, and academic factor, presenting low marks due to the little support of teachers, having difficulties to fulfill tasks and lessons and changes in their mood due to the lack of motivation, characteristics and positive attitudes of certain teachers. 5 Thus, from the perspective of the professional in Social Work, a proposal is presented aimed at strengthening the teacher-student relationship through awareness-raising and training strategies for teachers in order to contribute to the academic, harmonious and comprehensive development of the university student in the state of gestation. |
