Yhteenveto:A family is functional when the dimensions of attachment, interaction, role fulfillment, and communication are integrated in an assertive way, which favors the satisfaction and integral well-being of its members, however, in the absence of these characteristics, emotional problems can arise that alter the family balance, highlighting anxiety as one of the main impact effects. The main objective of this research was to determine the relationship between family functionality and anxiety in adolescents; In addition, specific objectives were set aimed at establishing anxiety levels in adolescents, identify the levels of family functionality, and develop an informative and psychoeducational guide with psychological strategies that address the problem. For the development of the study, the bibliographic synthesis method was used, through a nonexperimental, cross-sectional quantitative approach, with a descriptive, explanatory and correlational scope. The research took into account scientific literature available in databases such as SciELO, PubMed, Dialnet, Redalyc, Google Scholar in addition to figures provided by the WHO and PAHO and, applying selection criteria a sample of 17 scientific articles was formed. The results obtained indicated that, in general terms, most families with adolescents have a moderately functional level, representing 40.1%; as for anxiety levels, the mild or very low level predominates with 40.5%. These findings, together with those obtained when addressing the general objective, demonstrated an inverse relationship between the variables, which underscored the importance of developing a psychoeducational guide that addresses family functionality, in order to mitigate the negative effects that non-functional family dynamics can generate in adolescents
