In this research work, OpenOffice Impress has been used as a methodological tool to promote learning about the hygiene and diseases to the digestive system, since through its different applications such as slides, images and multimedia videos, it facilities the analysis of informatión, Starting from activities where students interact, motivate and learn in a dynamic way and develop the skills and skills necessary for their training and have a taste for learning. According to the following topic: THE IMPRESS OPENOFFICE AS A METHODOLOGICAL TOOL FOR STRENGTHENING HYGIENE LEARNING AND DIGESTIVE SYSTEM DISEASES, IN STUDENTS IN THE NINTH GRADE OF PARALLEL "A" BASIC GENERAL EDUCATION OF THE EDUCATIONAL UNIT FISCOMISIONAL VICENTE ANDA AGUIRRE NIGHT SECTION OF THE LOJA CITY, PERIOD 2014-2015. Also, It was formulated as a general objective; Apply the OpenOffice Impress as a methodological tool to strengthen the learning about hygiene and diseases of the digestive system, in the students of the ninth grade of Basic General Education parallel "A" of the educational unit Fiscomisional Vicente Anda Aguirre night section of the city of Loja. Academic term 2014-2015. The methods used were: inductive-deductive, analytical-synthetic; The same ones that facilitated the interpretation of the data of gradual way from bibliographical sources; Such as books, web pages, magazines, videos and documents; In addition selecting, detailing and synthesizing information collected from the current situation of the object to be investigated, the survey was used as a technique and as a questionnaire instrument, applied to students. Once the information was collected and analyzed, it was determined that the majority of students present difficulties in recognizing the most common diseases that develop in the digestive system, as well as the prevention and hygiene methods for each of them. Information that demonstrated the existence of few knowledge related to this subject, which directly influences student learning. The application of the OpenOffice Impress methodological tool in the two workshops carried out showed positive results in the post-test, since the students showed great interest in learning in a dynamic and active way through their different functions such as: slides, images and Videos that allowed to raise his level of knowledge on the hygiene and diseases of the digestive system.
