| Ամփոփում: | Direct pulp capping is a procedure aimed at preserving and regenerating the affected dental pulp. Biodentine is currently one of the most widely used because of its unique properties and its potential to improve clinical outcomes. The purpose of this study was to review the most relevant bibliographic information about pulp capping with Biodentine in permanent first molars. This was a bibliographic and descriptive study, which by means of inclusion and exclusion criteria, 26 bibliographic sources in English and Spanish were taken into account; between 2012 and 2022, which were selected through various databases such as edline/PubMed, Google Scholar, BVS, Scielo, OVID, Elsevier, Springer; the information was organized and systematized in data tables for analysis. It was obtained as a result that the direct pulp capping with Biodentine is effective, obtaining a success rate of 82.6% to 100% in comparison with the mineral trioxide aggregate (MTA) that obtained a success rate of 83.5% to 100% being these two materials similar and in comparison with the Calcium Hydroxide that obtained a success rate of 80% to 86%; the properties that this material possesses allow the formation of tertiary dentin, among the most important are biocompatibility, good mechanical anchorage and easy handling. In conclusion, Biodentine is an effective option for direct pulp capping since it presents success percentages similar to other materials, in addition to having properties that allow it to stimulate the formation of the dentin bridge. |
