總結:With the present investigation it was determined the level of compliance with biosafety standards for health staff hospitalization area, because this is a new hospital in which it was observed the failure of biosecurity measures threatening the health of staff and the people who goes to the institution of acquiring nosocomial infections. The research was cross-sectional, descriptive and explanatory type; the population was twenty-eight (28) professionals and non-professionals who work in the service. To achieve the objectives the survey and observation techniques were used; for data processing the computer mechanisms such as Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint were used. The result obtained in compliance with handwashing was of 46.43% in the use of protective measures a 53.57% and hospital waste management 57.14% concluding that the level of compliance is medium; in addition of this, it was established that lack of adherence to biosecurity measures is due to attitudes concerning the lack of interest and not a lack of knowledge to perform the procedures; it is important to say that must exist an increased motivation and monitoring compliance with biosecurity measures. Therefore educational and motivational actions are performed with health staff working in the hospital department to strengthen awareness of the importance of biosafety standards and compliance with the standard measures of Nursing.
