Add Tag | Summary: | The present research work called "AGROTOURISM PILOT SYSTEM AS A CONTRIBUTION TO SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT FOR THE PADMI EXPERIMENTAL STATION OF THE LOS ENCUENTROS PARISH, YANTZAZA CANTON" has the general objective of proposing a pilot agrotourism system as a contribution to sustainable development for the Experimental Station “El Padmi, identifying its components to achieve the final design and thus constitute an innovative tourist product taking advantage of the resources and productive activities that take place in the place. The following specific objectives were set: Carry out the economic, social and environmental diagnosis to identify the requirements of the agrotourism pilot system for the "El Padmi" Experimental Station, which allowed filling in own elaboration matrices for the economic, social and environmental diagnoses; Likewise, surveys were applied to visitors, tourists and tourist service providers, with the results an analysis of the tourist's profile was made, the statistical program SPSS was used to obtain the quantitative results and the correlation between the variables under study, also surveys were applied to those directly and indirectly involved to obtain qualitative results and identify the requirements of the agrotourism pilot system; the second objective: Carry out the design of the pilot system for the Experimental Station "El Padmi" which through the application of a Methodological Triangulation identified the components of the agrotourism pilot system that are: Actors involved, Resources, Strategies and Results, which has a mission, vision and the principles of social organization for sustainable development. Within the results of carrying out the environmental, social and environmental diagnoses: in the economic part, the crops, livestock programs, complementary tourist services and typical gastronomy were identified, in the social part the people who work in the Station were identified, the agreements both national and international, the organizational structure, suppliers and basic services. In the environmental diagnosis, the chemicals used in the Station, pest management, use of vaccines, water system, container management, solid waste, wastewater management, management of the Botanical Garden, hydrographic basin and type of energy were considered. Likewise, the most representative flora species, both medicinal and timber, were identified, the tourist profile was determined, interviews and surveys were applied (visitors and providers of tourist services of the Los Encuentros Parish) to obtain qualitative and quantitative data respectively, made a correlation analysis between the variables under study, a methodological triangulation was carried out with the results obtained, to design the Agrotourism Pilot System. Finally, it was concluded that the Station has the resources to develop agrotourism activities that, with good management, can offer a good quality tourist product |
