要約:The present study was performed in order to determine the prevalence of Urinary Tract Infection in school girls were treated at the outpatient area Julius Doepfner Provincial Hospital of Zamora, in 2014. There has been a high rate Girls with this condition, hence arises the author's interest in conducting this study. Its design was cross-sectional, descriptive, bibliographic and field. To collect the information a survey of mothers of girls, who comprised the study sample was used. According to the results they presented 95 girls giving pathology as a 77.24% prevalence aged 5-11 years and being the most vulnerable of 5-8 years with the 68.42% of which 84.21% made bad hygienic practice, regarded as a major risk factor for acquiring this disease; Laboratory tests were conducted, the same that were evaluated by a medical professional, thus allowing to reach a diagnosis, in addition to girls who had urinary tract infection for more than three occasions in the last year urine culture and sensitivity performed where the causative agent, the bacterium Escherichia coli with a prevalence of 16.84% was identified. Thus concluding that this bacteria is the main cause of urinary tract infection in school girls. To promote the improvement of health, an intervention plan based on educational activities and medical care was developed
