Analisis de los sistemas productivos en la parroquia Gualel, cantón y provincia de Loja

The present study carried out in the Gualel parish, on the analysis of the productive systems in Gualel, County and Loja Province, proposed to understand the technical and socioeconomic rationality of the producers linked to the capacity that the farmers have to adapt to the introduction of new techniques and technologies, to tend towards the improvement of agricultural and livestock systems and therefore optimize the good use of potential natural resources. Its purpose was to characterize and identify the types of producers in the Gualel parish and propose alternatives that contribute to the improvement of the quality of life of the peasants. Stop this information was collected, through surveys, on the economy and production and was supplemented with secondary information collected from research conducted by the MAG, GIS land and internet. As a result, three typologies were obtained: the subsistence farmer, characterized by having little land (< 2.0 ha), guaranteeing family food and supporting the family economically through the sale of labor; the intensive agricultural farmer, has a considerable land area (> 10.0 ha) and, in addition to maintaining family food, sells surplus production, and intensive beekeeper, with surfaces that border the 6 ha for the location of hives, It has significant income that ensures family economic sustainability.
