Riassunto:The purpose of this research was to calculate the efficiency, energy consumption, and current state of the lighting system in Block 3 of the Faculty of Energy, Industries, and Non-Renewable Natural Resources at the National University of Loja. Additionally, a proposal was made to implement a sustainable architecture strategy and a new dimmable LED lighting system that meets the minimum requirements of the UNE 12464-1 standard. Using SolidWorks, a 3D design of the building was created, and data on natural, artificial, and mixed illuminance was obtained using DIALux. The current energy consumption was calculated, resulting in unfavorable results. Therefore, a new design was proposed for a system with dimmable LED technology to ensure appropriate illumination for each environment, meeting the established minimum requirements and achieving autonomous lighting. To accomplish this, an automatic control system was proposed, which would turn the lamps on and off only when there is movement in the work areas and adjust the lamp intensity based on the amount of natural light available in the block. A redesign of the structure was implemented, including large windows on the east façade to increase natural light and achieve greater energy savings. The automatic control system analyzed met the objectives of efficiency and compliance with lighting standards. It utilized elements such as an e-multi-sensor 0-10V, which detects movement and measures natural light levels, and an LED 0-10V dimmer switch that receives data from the multi-sensor and processes it according to its programming to provide the required power to the lamps and meet the specified standards.
