Summary:The use of contraceptives can alter the metabolism of the lipids and the hemostasia in the women that use contraceptives, (Alsasua 2011) in the female population from Ecuador in general is frequent the use of contraceptives for the birth control being wide the number of women that uses them (Villacis 2011) and taking in consideration the results of studies that point out the alteration in the hemostasia and lipíd profile of women that use contraceptives thought about to determine the lipíd profile and the hemostasia profile in women in fertile age that use contraceptives and in women don't use them, to compare the values found in the two study groups, to settle down if significant alterations exist according to the time of exhibition, birth-control used method; and, to diffuse the obtained results. The present study of descriptive type, it was carried out in 92 women assisted in the medical center APROFE-Loja period February-March of the 2014. This work allowed to observe that 50 (56%) women use diverse birth-control and other methods 42 (44%) they don't use none. The values of the lipíd profile in both studies, the groups were not altered in parameters like HDL (86% in women that use contraceptives 78% in women that don't use them) and LDL. (54% in women that use contraceptives 26% in women that don't use them) The profile of hemostasia which was notably altered in the women that use contraceptives (20% TP y 52% TTP), in front of the group of women that doesn't use birth-control therapy in which normal values were observed. Is important to make studies on this subject for measurable results to reiterate doctors about the effects of contraceptives in women.
