La comunicación familiar y su incidencia en el rendimiento académico de los adolescentes del colegio nocturno Rafael Rodríguez Palacios de la parroquia de Malacatos de la ciudad de Loja periodo académico 2012-2013

Family communication that exists between parents and children is very important to the personal, emotional, and educational development of adolescents, because it mainly affects its academic development; since there is a good communication in family everything will emerge well, while on the other hand by not having this it will reverberate very significantly in the academic performance of their children. Therefore I considered it necessary to investigate; COMMUNICATION FAMILY AND THEIR IMPACT ON ADOLESCENTS IN NIGHT SCHOOL ACADEMIC PERFORMANCE RAFAEL RODRIGUEZ PALACIOS OF THE PARISH OF MALACATOS IN THE CITY OF LOJA. 2012-2013 ACADEMIC PERIOD; whose general objective was to: highlight the importance of family communication as the Foundation of the academic performance of adolescents; and as specific objectives: identify levels of family communication of adolescents and analyze academic averages to then relate the levels of family communication and academic performance of adolescents investigated average; where to investigate population were 215 students. The methodology used in the research is descriptive, methods were used such as; the method scientific, descriptive, analytic–synthetic, inductivo-deductivo. Data collection was done through: the scale of family communication from Barnes and Olson (1982) and adapted by Dr. Judith Salinas; for better understanding and easy to apply and to check the other variable it is obtained through the registration of student grades. The results in the register of qualifications of the College's students, it is concluded that the academic performance of the students investigated is regular; and there is evidence that family communication that exists in their homes is based on attacks, insults, ill-treatment offensive type, i.e. There is no good communication in family; having direct relationship communication that stays at home with their school records. According to these results is recommended to the directors of the College lectures on family communication addressed to students and parents of family, making them know the importance of communication and thus encourage them take responsibility in their studies for a good academic school performance.
