Zusammenfassung:The Burnout syndrome is used it to describe the consequences of severe stress and high ideals experienced by people working in “helping” professions, the sense of being tired, exhausted and useless, could be one of the symptoms. This illness has three characteristics of the emotional exhaution, alienation from job, reduced performance. It usually affects to people that are in charge or in help professions, such as Doctors, nurses, teachers, social workers or anyone who has to deal with a lot of responsibility. The purpose of this scientific research was to determine how the Syndromme affected the Human Health Area teacher staff from The National University of Loja,. The Maslach questionnaire was used taking in consideration biological factors, working factors, sociological factors and environmental factors, using a descriptive, transversal and prospective methodology of study. The subjects of study were 104 teachers, male and female, between 25 - 75 age range.The first two surveys where personal data concerning biological, social and occupational factors applied was compiled; the second survey corresponded to the MBI test in which the presence or absence of burnout syndrome was evaluated. After analyzing the results evidenced that 47.11 % of the participants presented the syndrome; with respect to dimensions: 58.65 % of teachers reported emotional exhaustion and depersonalization (at an average level mostly); and the dimension of personal accomplishment the 54.81 % had a high level. hen performing the statistical test Chi - square relationship Burnout Syndrome with biological , social and occupational factors finding a level of statistical significance with a value of p = 0.041 ( p = 0.05), the workday was raised the teacher , indicating that there is a direct relationship between working hours and the burnout syndrome .
