Sumari:The free fairs are a traditional marketing tool, and a space for socialization, cultural interaction, and economy, because many families in Catamayo city benefit from the diversity of products offered and their accessible prices. The present research work entitled "Socioeconomic study of the salespeople and satisfaction of the users of the free fairs, as a traditional marketing tool in Catamayo city, year 2023", contributes to know the socioeconomic situation, and the level of satisfaction of the users who go to the fairs. In order to determine the socioeconomic level of the salespeople, a census was taken of 86 salespeople to obtain relevant information about their social and economic conditions, such as population, education, basic needs, housing, basic services, migration, employment, income, etc. Mostly self-employed salespeople spend their income mainly on basic necessities. To determine the satisfaction of users, surveys were applied to a sample of 368 people who go to the free fairs, using a questionnaire based on the Hayes dimensions model, showing that users mainly value the price of the products offered, in addition to their variety and quality. However, there is evidence of concerns regarding infrastructure, hygiene, presentation, organization and schedules of free fairs, for which it is necessary to take measures to mitigate these aspects, and thus promote the economic and social importance of free fairs, to improve the experience of users and thus the working conditions of salespeople.
