Sumari:This research was carried out because the organizational climate in a public institution is fundamental to promote a healthy environment, improve productivity and identify negative aspects. Therefore, the following research topic was proposed: "Organizational environment of the employees of the GAD Municipal from the canton Camilo Ponce Enríquez, Azuay province, 2023 year". The general objective was to analyze the organizational climate of the employees, achieving its fulfillment through three specific objectives: first, to diagnose the factors that affect the organizational climate of the employees working in the GAD, second, to determine the organizational climate in which the employees work, and finally, to propose a way to improve the work environment of the public employees of the municipal GAD of Camilo Ponce Enríquez canton. The methodology used was a mixed approach that combined qualitative and quantitative elements, under an inductive method. As for the techniques used, an interview was conducted with the director of Human Resources, an observation sheet in the institution and a survey of a sample of employees at the institutional level. With respect to the results obtained from the application of the Litwin and Stringer questionnaire, it was determined that the employees of the municipal government of Camilo Ponce Enríquez canton enjoy a very good organizational climate according to the indicator established in the Technical Standard for measuring the work climate. However, it was identified the need to make adjustments to improve the dimensions of responsibility, reward, challenge, standards and conflict, in order to make the work environment more conducive and motivating for employees in their work.
