| Shrnutí: | The vulgaris acne is a self-limited dermatologic condition that is seen mainly in teens, whose prevalence has increased. It is presented with a polymorphic variety of injuries that can be comedones, pustules and nodules, in any body region, but the most common is in the face level, it is associated with scarring effects lifetime, and this psychological manifestations has as a consequences a little social interaction in severe cases. It has made an observational and descriptive research in order to determinate the prevalence of vulgaris acne in teens of 11 -19 years old, in "Isidro Ayora" hospital of the province of Loja, period January - July 2015, with a sample of 52 teens, for this has research has been taker the “Redaac” informative data, the clinic history and a direct information of the patients. As a result was obtained that 36% are teens attending dermatology clinic with a diagnosis of vulgaris acne and 64% correspond to the non-teenager with acne vulgaris population. At the age of 11-13 years, acne vulgaris is more prevalent in males with 83%, while the 14 to 16 and 17 to 19 years of age, is more prevalent in females with 66 % and 64% respectively. The acne injuries that were observed more frequently face level was still mild with 74%, 77% and 75% in chest in back, being moderate. It should be noted about this condition that is also a social-character problem, so it should provide a psychological and emotional support. Key word: Vulgaris acne, teens, injury. |
