Summary:This research is based on a retrospective study and quantitative cross-sectional, conducted in the outpatient service Preventive Medicine Program "Central Day Hospital IESS-Shop" in the period April to September 2013. To obtain data we worked with a sample of 314 medical records of the outpatient clinic. Los objetivos del presente trabajo se centraron en Identificar la presencia de enfermedades crónico degenerativas en los afiliados que acuden al chequeo anual del Programa de Medicina Preventiva del Hospital del Día-Loja; Conocer los principales factores de riesgos predisponentes de enfermedades crónico degenerativas identificados en el programa y Determinar la capacidad resoluti-va del programa de medicina preventiva hacia los problemas identificados. The results obtained suggest that the De-generative Chronic diseases are most commonly diagnosed in Preventive Medicine program, among them: hyperten-sion (12.5%), Mixed Dyslipidemia (9.8%), associated with Dyslipidemia Hyper-tension (6.3 %), rheumatoid arthritis and osteoporosis (3.8%), with the lowest percentage Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus and Obesity, 94% have risk factors such as: Physical inactivity (26%), hypercholesterolemia (15%), alcohol (12%), hyper-triglyceridemia (11%), in turn, 68% received first class care for family medicine, but in a 30% referred to a second level of care, by specialty.
