The objective of this study was to analyze the knowledge of childbirth care with an intercultural approach in users who go to the gynecology-obstetrics area of the Isidro Ayora Provincial Hospital in Loja, to the implementation of educational actions that contribute to the exercise of their reproductive and sexual rights. It was a study with a quantitative approach, descriptive and cross-sectional. The population was constituted by 86 women; As an instrument, a survey was applied, as a result 57% correspond to women between a range of 18 to 25 years, 35% completed high school, 78% self-identify as mestizas and with 66% of women who live in free union with their partners; In relation to the culturally appropriate childbirth care: 5% of the surveyed women belonging to the canton Saraguro received information on this topic, 34% know the types of birth positions. Conclusions: within the sociodemographic characteristics it is found that: a large number of pregnant women are between 18 and 25 years old, with a completed high school degree, marital status mostly free union, on the other hand, 5% of the population knows about the culturally appropriate childbirth care belonging to the canton Saraguro. El presente estudio tuvo como objetivo analizar el conocimiento sobre la atención del parto con enfoque intercultural en las usuarias que acuden al área de gineco-obstetricia del Hospital Provincial Isidro Ayora de Loja, para la implementación de acciones educativas que contribuyan al ejercicio de sus derechos sexuales y reproductivos. Se trató de un estudio con enfoque cuantitativo, de tipo descriptivo con corte transversal. La población lo constituyó 86 mujeres; como instrumento se aplicó una encuesta, encontrándose como resultados, que un 57% corresponde a mujeres entre un rango de 18 a 25 años, un 35% culminaron el bachillerato, el 78% se autoidentifica como mestizas y con un 66% de mujeres que viven en unión libre con sus parejas; en relación a la atención del parto culturalmente adecuado: el 5% de las mujeres pertenecientes al cantón Saraguro encuestadas recibieron información sobre este tema, un 34% conoce los tipos de posiciones. Conclusiones: dentro de las características sociodemográficas se encuentra: un gran número de mujeres embarazadas son entre los 18 a 25 años, con un bachillerato completo, estado civil en su mayoría unión libre, por otro lado, un 5% de la población conoce sobre la atención del parto culturalmente adecuado pertenecientes al cantón de Saraguro.
