description The use of social networks at present has had great influence with the new technologies and modalities of study, for which the thesis is presented: PSYCHOEDUCATIONAL STRATEGY OF RISK PREVENTION OF THE USE OF SOCIAL NETWORKS IN STUDENTS OF THE EIGHTH PARALLEL GRADE B, OF THE PARTICULAR EDUCATIONAL UNIT SANTA MARIANA DE JESÚS, 2019- 2020, the objective was to determine the manifestations of risk of the use of social networks in the students, for that reason it was an investigation with a quantitative approach, of descriptive explanatory type; non-experimental design; with a cross section; where the scientific method was used by applying Kimberly Young's Social Networking Test (IAT) to the sample of 34 students. The results obtained through the application of the instrument show that high percentages were found in significant problems such as occasional problems at a normal level; however, it is worrisome because a group of students were found in the moderate level of control and use of social networks, percentages that show rates of risk to the misuse of social networks. Concluding that, before the risks of the use of social networks the investigated students are in slight and moderate risk and it is necessary a psychoeducational process of prevention to the risk of arriving at occasional or significant problems in worrying levels like moderate and severe.

Concluding that, before the risks of the use of social networks the investigated students are in slight and moderate risk and it is necessary a psychoeducational process of prevention to the risk of arriving at occasional or significant problems in worrying levels like moderate and severe.El uso de las redes sociales en la actualidad ha tenido gran influencia con las nuevas tecnologías y modalidades de estudio, por lo cual se presenta la tesis: ESTRATEGIA PSICOEDUCATIVA DE PREVENCIÓN AL RIESGO DEL USO DE REDES SOCIALES EN ESTUDIANTES DEL OCTAVO GRADO PARALELO B, DE LA UNIDAD EDUCATIVA PARTICULAR SANTA MARIANA DE JESÚS, 2019- 2020, tuvo como objetivo determinar las manifestaciones de riesgo del uso de redes sociales en las estudiantes, por ello fue una investigación con un enfoque cuantitativo, de tipo descriptiva explicativa; diseño no experimental; con un corte transversal; donde se utilizó el método científico aplicando el Test de uso de redes Sociales de Kimberly Young (IAT) a la muestra de 34 estudiantes. Los resultados obtenidos a través de la aplicación del instrumento evidencian que altos porcentajes se encontraron en problemas significativos como problemas ocasionales en un nivel normal; sin embargo, es preocupante porque un grupo de estudiantes se encontraron en el nivel moderado del control y uso de las redes sociales, porcentajes que demuestran índices de riesgo al mal uso de redes sociales.
