| Summary: | The curricular integration work aimed to analyze the relationship between the basic levels of cognitive processes of attention and memory with reading comprehension, in students of the first cycle of the Basic Education career, 2024. With a quantitative approach, non-experimental, descriptive, correlational and cross-sectional design. The instruments applied to the sample of 35 students were the d2 attention test, the RIAS cleverness subscale for memory and the ICLAU instrument for reading comprehension. For statistical analysis, the IBM SPSS version 26 program and the Pearson linear correlation coefficient interpretation table were used. In the got results, 77.14% of the participants have a low level of attention; with regard to memory, 51.43% are at a medium level and 37.14% at a high level; and, cherishing reading comprehension, 65.7% are at a low level. Through statistical analysis, it reaches a Kendall Tau-b value of 0.193 in attention and a value of 0.178 in memory, which according to the Pearson correlation coefficient is located in a range of +0.11 to +0.50, namely, there is a significant positive correlation of medium magnitude between the basic cognitive processes of attention and memory with reading comprehension. With this result, the alternative hypothesis is accepted and the null hypothesis is rejected. |
