| סיכום: | This document seeks to contribute knowledge that helps to give answers to one of the great queries that the Ecuadorian economy has the saber. What creates wealth in our country? There have been many theories at the global level that have tried to explain growth from different points of view, and yet these have not been replicated in many latitudes and in different periods of time, which is why a decade ago in response to classical economics, the concept of economic complexity arises which seeks to answer the question proposed above. This research aims to analyze the role of the index of economic complexity, which is a measure of the diversity and ubiquity of exports and how this affects the behavior of economic growth in Ecuador, for this, use an economic analysis using models of least squares, as well as causality analysis through a Granger causality test. By means of the generalized method of moments it was determined, the index of economic complexity positively affects growth, while through the Granger causality test, it was found that economic complexity causes economic growth, and that on the contrary, growth has not generated the conditions, to make exports in Ecuador more complex, so policies should be aimed not only at export diversification, but to make them more complex, that is, they are products with a high content of productive knowledge, to This way to achieve greater and sustained economic growth and thus generate better levels of development. |
