The general objective was: To determine the importance of the family and their impact on the social behavior of children High School, First Grade of Basic Education, Fiscal Mixed "Lauro Damerval Ayora" No. 1 morning section School semester 2014 - 2015. The methods used for the preparation of this research work were: the scientific method, the inductive-deductive method, analytic-synthetic, dialectical and the statistical model, the techniques used were: a survey of parents of children to identify the structure and modes of behavior of the family and the observation sheet that was applied to children to determine the behavior. With the implementation of the survey it concluded that most families are structured mom and dad. In addition, most parents expressed that the relationship with your children is very good. Today it is known as a family compound nuclear family of father, mother and children where various functions or responsibilities prosecuted to the training, adaptation, socialization, among others, to fulfill their role as useful members of society are assumed. With the implementation of the observation guide it is concluded that: most children never show an inappropriate social behavior and demonstrate a minimum percentage wrongdoing. Social behavior is the way forward that people have in relation to its surroundings.
