Opis
Izvleček:Access to financial services and products is a fundamental aspect within the framework of Financial Inclusion, since it is related to people and their condition, whether economic, social and therefore to the type of activity or activity they are engaged in. Understanding the factors that affect this type of access, allows designing policies that promote financial inclusion, therefore this research, develops the objective of identifying the socioeconomic factors that are related to the access of informal traders to financial services and products based on the particular characteristics of this sector, which allow establishing policies that improve their economic situation and expand access to financial products and services. The research methodology had a mixed approach of exploratory scope until reaching the explanatory one, through the estimation of variables related to the topic, using an Ordered Logit econometric model whose dependent variable has a significant order and more than two categories. The study has a cross-sectional design, non-experimental type of research, which is directed to the 62 informal traders located around the Loja Shopping Center Market, being this the study population. The results reveal that informal traders' access to financial services and products is related to external factors such as the level of financial inclusion and internal factors such as their own condition. It is concluded that there is a need to apply and direct inclusive policies to improve their access to financial services and products.
