| Tóm tắt: | Within the educational context, particularly at the level of teaching and learning, the aim is to optimize education by elevating its standards beyond purely traditional methods. This involves instigating curiosity in students, encouraging them to transition from passive spectators to active participants in the educational process, and inspiring others towards paths of innovation and dynamism within the classroom. Hence, the promotion of active methodologies in general, and Problem-Based Learning (PBL) in particular, is advocated. Among the objectives of the project is the analysis, through a study, of how Problem-Based Learning enhances the development of students' critical thinking skills and identification of key factors contributing to this development. The methodological process employed involves gathering insights from university faculty through interviews focused on the implementation of Problem-Based Learning in their teaching practices. This is supplemented by classroom observations during the application of the methodology. Key factors contributing to the development of critical thinking skills include careful planning (anticipation), selection of interdisciplinary problems that pique student interest, fostering a collaborative and participative environment, and integrating technology. Furthermore, a series of conclusions are drawn regarding the application of the PBL methodology and the development of students' critical thinking skills, along with recommendations for future educators to anticipate its application in terms of complexity. Keywords: active methodologies; problem-based learning; critical thinking; cognitive skills; higher education. |
