| Resumo: | This document contains the synthesis of the research “Intervention program for the treatment of genre violence on women in the Technical Agricultural School of Quilanga” carried out in order to accomplish the master in Community Development at the National University of Loja. The students of the 2nd year of agriculture major of Quilanga technical school, the principal, vice-principal, general inspector and counselor participated. The investigation was carried out focusing on the community self-development in order to propose an alternative to handle violence situations in the school, where traditionally the institutional response has been comparing genre violence to indiscipline, identify the perpetrators and impose a penalty as a way to prevent that other students incur in the same error. In the perspective of community self-development, the treatment of the violence is centered in the identifying valuations, behaviors, and stereotypes that allow, encourage and justify genre violence which are evidenced in people’s everyday life because it is where they develop their life styles. This daily experience highlights a contradiction which is evidenced in the sporadic accusation that students who confront situations of violence make. Then, to inquire their everyday life allows people to understand the origin and interdependence of their contradictions and from this critic point of view identify possible solutions. People involved in violence situations identify these contradictions, for this purpose an investigation methodology is applied which stimulates a symmetrical dialogue and the searches for critic and cooperative of solutions. The proposed solutions are summed up in a community project in which all the people involved in this research are integrated. |
