| Özet: | Today Streptococcus pyogenes infections cause disease, some of them with important impact as rheumatic fever, glomerulonephritis, strep throat frequently in pediatric and elderly people. Inside the lab as complementary tests to identify the causative agent tests are performed whose principle is the identification of antibodies like the same ASO-O that can be made using methods of quantitative and semiquantitative identification. This study was descriptive and transversal cross in which was determined ASO-O by quantitative and semiquantitative technique in blood samples analyzed in the laboratory of Isidro Ayora Hospital in Loja city, 110 patient samples that included tests ASO-O, quantitative technique was analyzed gotten by turbidimetry and semi-quantitative latex agglutination technique. It´s therefore to see the gotten results it recommends to inform at community thorugh educational conferences, about the transmission ways of this illness that can cause streptococcal pharingitis, rheumatic fever, applgomerulonephritis, to avoid contagious and propagation of this type illnesses. Likewise it is important to do studies of sensitivity and specificity from used methods on this studio since eill bring information about used techniques in the clinic lab, from this way to help reducing analytical errors. Keywords: Streptococcus pyogenes, Antistreptolysin-O (ASO-O), Quantitative technique, semiquantitative technique. |
