| Περίληψη: | Burnout syndrome, better known as the condition of prolonged and insidious stress, where the individual experiences fatigue, exhaustion, and disappointment, all due to not achieving the expectations they set. This syndrome was classified by the WHO as an occupational risk, a condition that involves professionals who are in direct contact with people. That is why this research work has as a general objective, to determine Burnout syndrome and academic performance in students of the Clinical Psychology Career of the National University of Loja, through the application of the Maslach Burnout Inventory, a study was carried out quantitative approach, with a sample of 104 students. Among the results obtained, the presence of Burnout syndrome is demonstrated in 28.85% of the students. Regarding academic performance, 84.62% have “very good” and “good” academic performance. Of the students who present Burnout syndrome, 25.96% are within the “very good” range. When establishing the relationship between the two variables, a p-value of 0.377 was obtained, demonstrating that there is no statistically significant relationship. 12.50% of students in the fifth cycle presented Burnout Syndrome, followed by 10.58% in the eighth cycle. Therefore, we conclude that in this population, academic performance is not affected by Burnout Syndrome. |
