Izvleček:This study is based on Tourist diagnosis as a stage of the planning process which establishes and evaluates the status of a destination at a particular time, It is also the direct source of information that allows us to make decisions about future strategies and is the tool that will allow us to evaluate the success or failure of plans, programs and projects. In short, it is the starting point and the foundation on which rests all tourism planning. Loja Province consists of 16 cantons within which perform various forms of tourism such as rural tourism, archaeological tourism, community tourism, religious tourism, ecotourism, among others. The Canton Loja is not an exception, because it demonstrates a magnificent tourist potential. The Loja Canton consists of the following urban and rural parishes: Urban: El Sagrario, San Sebastián, Sucre and El Valle. Rural: Chuquiribamba, Chantaco, el Cisne, Gualel, Jimbilla, Malacatos Quinara, Santiago, San Pedro de Vilcabamba, San Lucas, Taquil, Vilcabamba, Yangana. Jimbilla is the rural parish that is closest to the city of Loja, It is located north of the main regional town of Loja, the right margin by a diversion of the old road Loja - Cuenca, about 27.8 Km from the city of Loja. The National University of Loja through a course in Engineering in Tourism Administration is fulfilling the curriculum required in the course modules of this degree, within the guidelines of the investigation is the tourist Diagnostic, tool which is why the proposal by this thesis work is "DIAGNOSTIC SITUATIONAL RURAL TOURISM OF THE PARISH JIMBILLA OF LOJA CANTON LOJA PROVINCE." The overall objective of this study is to: Identify an alternative tourism development in the Rural Parish Jimbilla of the Loja Province of Loja Canton, using the tourist Diagnostic tool, through situational analysis of tourism. This raised three specific objectives. 1. To characterize the current situation of tourism in the Parish Jimbilla Loja Canton with its opportunities and limitations. 2. Determine the composition of the tourism supply and demand of the parish of Canton Jimbilla Loja, Loja Province. 3. Design strategies for tourism development in the Parish Jimbilla the Loja Canton of Loja Province. For the development of each of the objectives it was necessary to use appropriate methodologies and techniques, so that the first objective was 6 applied by lifting a matrix of information from Carla Ricaurte, adjusting to the reality of the parish of study that aimed to systematize the information collected. In the second objective we identified what tourist services and resources are offered, and with the support of the methodology, information from each attraction was lifted. In implementing the third objective it was essential to establish links with those involved directly in tourism, taking into account the opinion of the host community. A participatory workshop was organized to give validation to objectives 1 and 2. SWOT analysis was performed to see the internal and external situation of the community, allowing us to establish tourism development strategies by raising future projects to promote the development of tourism and improve their quality of life. Subsequently, the study described the necessary conclusions and recommendations to improve tourism in the parish. Conclusions: The problematization of the area Jimbilla study focuses on the lack of a tourist diagnosis therefore not known which are the limitations for the community to develop for tourism, and therefore their opportunities are also known to make better use of the resources are there. The Jimbilla parish has six natural, but not all are known by tourists as there is adequate signage and promotion thereof. The Jimbilla parish does not have the hosting service and sufficient to supply the demand The diagnosis made in the Jimbilla parish concluded that the basic infrastructure is insufficient and this becomes a weakness for the effective development of tourism, because there is no housing, food recreation and other services. The Jimbilla parish has attractions essential to boost tourism natural, however need to be suitable to be placed on value and associated with other items such as climate, agricultural production and the great wealth embodied in traditional customs, include socialization in the participatory workshop was vital to validate the information obtained over that also was exposed by the community aspirations and major projects that could be developed for the growth of community tourism. Recommended: The President of the Jimbilla Parish Board take into account this situation assessment as a basis Tourist information for the development 7 of new tourism development projects for the parish Jimbilla recommended, at the Provincial Government of Loja and Ministry of Public Works, to give proper maintenance Loja to Jimbilla route as conditions found in this way are bad and therefore makes tourists not attend this parish; and, A Parish Jimbilla conducting participatory workshops with the community board for people to realize that they have the opportunity to grow and become conscious that for tourism may do in the parish a source of income.
