| Crynodeb: | Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is a condition related to brain development that affects the ability to develop social and communication skills with other people. The objective of this research is to determine the social and educational factors and their influence on people with Autism Spectrum Disorder of the Association of Parents of People with Autism of Loja (APPAL), in the same way to analyze the social and educational challenges to the that they face, and investigate the effects of their low social and educational development, to finally design an intervention proposal to implement strategies and promote autonomy at the social and educational level of people. The research was developed with a qualitative approach, inductive method, whose design was non-experimental, for which techniques such as documentary review, semi-structured interview and direct observation with interview guide instruments, observation sheet and intervention proposal were used, applied to a sample of 16 people: 15 parents and the president of the Association of Parents of People with Autism of Loja. The results indicate that the association provides significant support to users, however, there are barriers that limit the social and educational development of these people, such as ignorance and lack of support from society, in relation to the educational field, users of the association. association have significantly improved their academic performance thanks to the support of the association and educational institutions. It is concluded that the limitations presented to people with Autism Spectrum Disorder prevent their development in autonomy and their participation in society, so it is necessary to address this problem from a comprehensive approach to improve their well-being and that of their families. |
