Резюме:Knowledge and eating habits of parents are essential for the formation of nutritional practices of the child and are established in early childhood lasting a lifetime. Due to the importance of the topic, the following objectives are set out in this research: to establish the level of knowledge about adequate nutrition in the parents, to know the feeding practices of the parents of the children and to give a talk with the delivery of educational triptychs. It was a descriptive, qualitative-quantitative and cross-sectional study. The questionnaire was applied to the sample of 101 parents of children aged 1 to 3 years who attend the municipal children's centers of the city of Loja, June 2016-September 2017 and the following results were obtained: 70% of parents had an inadequate level of knowledge about food, 61% of the parents' food practices were inappropriate, 70% of the parents entered the triptych through the educational talk It is concluded that the level of inadequate knowledge is reflected in inappropriate food practices Keywords: infants, feeding, parents.
