Résumé:This work aims to redesign the system of steam generation and transport IESS Hospital in the city of Machala. The redesign of the system in question include the thermal load calculations, selection of steam boilers, thermal selection of machines for different areas of the hospital, water system design, supply, calculation and selection of steam pipes and return condensate, calculation and selection of water softener, and selection of fittings and steam traps. Should also undergo an assessment of the energy lost through transmission and leaks. In this paper we undertake a current analysis of the steam requirements of the hospital, according to this will be detailed-design parameters selection for different equipment and / or system elements, and using the necessary calculations determine the boiler required. The methodology for this work is as follows. First we shall calculate the demand for steam, with this result and other general considerations, the procedure to select the boilers and thermal machines to use. Then proceed to design the system of water supply boilers, with their respective feed pump. Having reached this point, finally decided to use the boiler fuel should also justify why the fuel to use, select the pump, is calculated and designed fuel tanks. Then design the piping system of steam and condensate return, this design should include the selection of thermal insulation. Also be selected according steam traps differential pressure and flow of condensate. And finally do the calculation and selection of appropriate water softener. Will be followed by the calculation of energy losses in the steam lines from the boiler to the manifold, and from the collector in three networks that distribute the steam to the different areas.
