সংক্ষিপ্ত:This present research is based on LEISURE ACTIVITIES TO ENHANCE THE TEACHING-LEARNING OF MATHEMATICS IN THE NUMERICAL BLOCK, MODULE 2: "HARMONIOUS RELATIONSHIP WITH THE NATURE," WITH CHILDREN OF FOURTH GRADE OF GENERAL BASIC EDUCATION, IN TENIENTE HUGO ORTIZ SCHOOL NO. 2, EL VALLE PARISH OF LOJA CITY, 2014-2015 ACADEMIC PERIOD.; its general objective was to apply leisure strategies as a teaching tool to facilitate the teaching and learning of Mathematics in fourth grade of General Basic Education Teniente Hugo Ortiz School No. 2, 2014-2015. Research responded to a type of pre-experimental and transversal, descriptive and field design; scientific, comprehensive, descriptive, analytical, synthetic methods, participatory diagnosis and evaluation workshop, the technique used was the survey and direct observation were used applied. After performing the analysis and interpretation of data is obtained as a result most students know about the concept of recreational activities and their use in the classroom is not regular, limited to text work, which affects the when starting a mathematical activity. The population was made by a teacher and twenty students. Therefore it is concluded that recreational activities are an indispensable tool when studying a mathematical topic, arousing the students' interest in learning something new, achieving a positive assimilation into the imparted knowledge and developing skills useful for everyday life.
