Violencia intrafamiliar y su relación en el consumo de sustancias psicotrópicas en los pacientes internos del centro terapeútico “Mano de Dios” de la ciudad de Loja, marzo-septiembre 2010

This research work was carried out in this city, its theme is: DOMESTIC VIOLENCE AND ITS RELATIONSHIP TO THE CONSUMPTION OF PSYCHOTROPIC SUBSTANCES IN PATIENTS OF INTERNAL Therapeutic Center "MANO DE DIOS" DE LA CIUDAD DE LOJA, MARCH-SEPTEMBER 2010 and was conducted with the aim of establishing the relationship between domestic violence and psychotropic substance use in patients in the center above, through scientific research psychology, since this is a serious mental health problem that is growing steadily from an alarmingly, while the violence is not a direct cause of the consumption of alcohol and other drugs, can be seen as a factor in the same, as one of the main factors facilitators of violent behavior in the aggressor, is related to the consumption of substances. Therefore, we find it convenient to carry out a research study on this problem that affects much of the world population and therefore to our local environment and that brings a host of negative consequences to the development of the individual, so that conducted a study of 20 patients Therapeutic Center "Hand of God", which equals 100% of the population under study, which used to guide psychological observation, we performed the psychological history were administered a structured survey to establish the degree and type of violence in their family and reagents were used to determine psychological abuse or dependence on other psychotropic substances, prior to this inquiry were given information about the work that was intended to perform. The results obtained were, with respect to domestic violence prevails mild physical violence and 80%, psychological violence with 35% moderate, mild sexual violence 65% and a similar percentage of 35% of economic violence mild and moderate. In regard to the consumption of psychotropic substances most studied have alcohol dependence by 95% while the remaining 5% have alcohol abuse. In what has to do with the use of other psychotropic substances are: that 25% are dependent, 15% had abuse and 60% did not consume other substances.
