description Hypertensive disorders are part of a series of vascular alterations that complicate the course of pregnancy and are one of the main causes of maternal and perinatal mortality worldwide. The present research: Risk Factors and Maternal-Fetal Complications according to the type of hypertensive disorder in pregnancy in patients attended at the General Hospital Isidro Ayora de Loja has specific objectives; determine risk factors, identify maternal complications and know fetal complications according to the type of hypertensive disorder in the pregnancy of the researched population. It is a descriptive, quantitative, retrospective study, based on the collection of data from the clinical records of 45 women admitted to the Gineco-obstetrics service in the period January-June 2016, who met inclusion criteria, from which they were obtained that 42.2% had preeclampsia, 28.8% had gestational hypertension, 17.7% had Eclampsia, 11% had chronic hypertension, of which 17.7% corresponded to; ages greater than 35 years, have relatives with a history of hypertension, are large multiparous, 26.7% had a full term pregnancy, with a single fetus 30%, 20% of patients performed 5-8 controls in pregnancy. Regarding maternal complications, 80% of patients did not present any complications, 6.6% of patients with eclampsia presented with Sd de Hellp, 2.2% of these patients had ARF, pulmonary edema, 2.2% preeclamptic presented Sd of Hellp, IRA, pulmonary edema, and 2.2% of pregnant women with chronic AHT had hepatic subscapular hematoma. Regarding fetal complications, it was found that 77.8% had no complications, it is evident that 2.2% of patients with preeclampsia and gestational hypertension present; IUGR and low birth weight, 2.2% of patients with preeclampsia presented fetal death, in 4.4% with eclampsia, fetal death occurred and in 2.2% patients with chronic THA presented with fetal asphyxia. La presente investigación: Factores de Riesgo y Complicaciones Materno- Fetales según el tipo de trastorno hipertensivo en el embarazo en pacientes atendidas en el Hospital General Isidro Ayora de Loja tiene como objetivos específicos; identificar los factores de riesgo, establecer las complicaciones maternas, establecer las complicaciones fetales de la población investigada, es un estudio descriptivo, cuantitativo, retrospectivo, realizado mediante la recolección de datos de historias clínicas de 45 mujeres ingresadas en el servicio de Gineco-obstetricia en Enero- Junio 2016, que cumplieron criterios de inclusión, obteniéndose como resultado; que el 42,2% presentaron preeclampsia, 28,8% hipertensión gestacional, 17,7% eclampsia, 11% hipertensión crónica, de ellas; el 17.7% corresponden; a edades mayores de 35 años, tienen familiares con antecedentes de HTA, son gran multíparas, el 26,7% cursaron un embarazo a término, con feto único el 30%, 20% se realizaron 5-8 controles en el embarazo.
