Özet:The purpose of this research was to carry out a retrospective analysis of the main pathologies that affected canines and felines, which arrived at the "Cesar Augusto Guerrero" Veterinary Teaching Hospital of the National University of Loja, in the period 2013-2017, it was carried out with the information obtained from the records of the hospital's medical records, taking into account the following variables: age, race, sex, anotomic location, diagnostic presumption. It was found 3604 cases of which 3379 (93.76%) belong to canines and felines 225 (6.24%) with different pathologies, which were grouped to each of the variables studied in terms of age, the puppies were the most affected in dogs 1,375 cases (41%) and in cats 94 cases (42%), according to the breed in the canines, the most affected were the mestizos 1296 cases (38.35%), in cats, the mestizo breed 200 cases (89%). Regarding sex in dogs, males were affected more frequently than 1714 cases (51%). and in cats, males were predominant in 122 cases (54%), the anatomical region the most affected in the canines was 1302 cases (39%), in the felines it was the a bdominal and generalized with 70 cases (31%), Regarding pathology, trauma predominated in canines 788 cases (23%), and in cats 85 cases (38%), trauma predominated.
