| Sažetak: | The present research was developed in the neighborhood of Togueros, in the parish of San Pedro de la Bendita, belonging to the canton Catamayo, province of Loja. The general objective was to contribute with the irrigation technology to achieve high water efficiency use and improving crop production. The specific objectives were: Determine the most favorable irrigation frequency for bean crop, according to the Class A evaporation pan, and validating a conventional evaporation pan (artisanal) for the technical management of irrigation by farmers. The statistical model was mono-factorial randomized block distribution, with three treatments and four replications with drip irrigation. The treatments applied were: treatment 1, frequency of daily irrigation; treatment 2, frequency of irrigation every two days, and treatment 3, frequency of irrigation every three days. The methodology was simple, especially technical and practical, accessible and easy to apply for farmers. In order to compare results, the treatments were applied on a bean crop which belongs to Carlos Macas, who has an experience of about seven years in different crops with drip irrigation. Production yields and pod fresh average of the three treatments were: T1 = 10,0 ton/ha, T2 = 8,1 ton/ha, and T3 = 7,3 ton/ha, with an average of 8,4 ton/ha, the plants height were between 45 and 50 cm and the width of foliar coverage was between 51 and 54 cm. Therefore, the best applied production system was the treatment one, so the best irrigation frequency was every day. The average obtained by Mr. Macas was 3.3 ton/ha underneath the results in the experimental test. The reference Evapotranspiration values (ET), developed by the method of evaporation home container, were higher with regard those in Thorthwaite and Hargreaves methods, with a relative percent difference of 33.2% and 33.7 % respectively, according to statistical analyzes of the mean square error. These values were similar to the results in other studies (Bochetti, 2010). The adjustment coefficient between conventional pan evaporation and the Class A was 1,001 with a correlation coefficient R = 0,946. The adjustment factor between the conventional pluviometer and the standard one was 1,069 with a correlation coefficient R = 0,998; these findings allowed to validate and recommend conventional devices applied to the experimental test. |
