Tag hinzufügen | Zusammenfassung: | The political sphere of a country has discriminated against women since ancient times, which is why Ecuador was no exception due to the fact that men were allowed to vote and run for office. Thus, the aim is to determine the participation of women in the 2019 sectional elections in the parish of San Antonio de Cumbe, in Saraguro canton. Furthermore, it would be helpful to know the rights applied to women as candidates within the parish and what kind of acceptance they receive. To fulfill the proposed objectives, research-action methodology was applied. The applied methods were deductive and analytical, which allowed the documentary review analysis. During the 2019 sectional elections in the parish, the technique used was an interview with the women who participated, a survey to verify the information provided by the CNE and the review of the different regulations that allow the participation of women. The results obtained allowed us to determine that the participation of women as candidates is 34% within the electorate and that the rights of participation are fully fulfilled. Based on this result, a proposal was prepared with the aim of ensuring that their participation in electoral processes is relevant within the parish since despite being included in the different regulations, its acceptance is minimal in the electorate and political parties include them most of the time to comply with the different regulations. |
