| Итог: | Mental health in people with human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) can be affected by the emotional burden of the disease diagnosis, having a negative impact on overall well-being; among the most common psychological problems is depression, which occurs much more frequently and in varying intensities. This study aims to determine the scientific evidence of depression in people diagnosed with human immunodeficiency virus. Having a quantitative non-experimental approach of cross-sectional systematic review type; based on the review, selection and analysis of a sample of 32 scientific articles related to the study variables, published between 2014 and 2024 in Spanish and English language, where the absence of depression predominated in China and Nigeria; mild depression in Republic of Congo; and moderate depression was observed in Peru and Brazil; lastly, severe depression in Bangladesh. In socio-demographic characteristics, in terms of sex, in men it was reported in Brazil and Bangladesh; in women it was prominent in China and Cuba. In marital status, Married/Civil Partnership predominated in India and Nigeria. In Divorced/Widowed it was in Kenya and Sudan; finally, in singles it was predominant in Peru and China. The prevalence of depression shows a higher percentage of no depression. In the socio-demographic characteristics, the percentage of men and married/unmarried people predominated. Based on the results obtained, a Psychoeducational Guide was developed with the aim of providing information and psychoeducational resources for people with HIV to prevent depression, promoting their emotional well-being and quality of life; it has a psychoeducational section and another section with tools focused on the prevention of depression |
