description Solar photovoltaics energy has emerged as a crucial solution in the current energy landscape, playing a fundamental role in the transition towards more sustainable and clean energy sources. Directly obtaining solar energy and transforming it into electricity reduces greenhouse gas emissions and reduces dependence on energy sources based on fossil fuels. This strategic importance is reflected in the present research, which focuses on the creation and development of a web tool designed for the sizing of photovoltaic systems connected to the grid in Ecuador. During the research process, an exhaustive bibliographic review was carried out, covering technical, theoretical, economic and environmental aspects related to the implementation of photovoltaic systems. The research focused specifically on the operation of photovoltaic systems, including the analysis of solar radiation data, and the evaluation of Ecuadorian regulations and standards. A web tool was developed with hosting and domain through Nodored, integrated with WordPress. The platform allows sizing in two approaches: electrical consumption and required power. The tool not only offers technical information and economic perspectives to evaluate the viability of the proposed system, but also stands out by providing data on the reduction of tons of CO2, highlighting its positive environmental impact. In order to validate the tool, the results were statistically contrasted with already installed photovoltaic systems, and with data from web tools such as Global Solar Atlas and PVGIS. The results indicated acceptable variation, supporting the robustness of the developed tool. Key words: Solar energy, Solar radiation, Photovoltaic systems, Solar panels, PVGIS, SOLARGIS.
