Ամփոփում:There is a close relationship between the moods, personality disorders and substance use. Speaking of personalities is mutilated, which is complemented by the use of alcohol or other substances; people sad, lonely, problems, conflicts, to make use of the toxic, usually compensarse emotionally and to cease to suffer; they tend therefore to consume the substance often increasing the risk of becoming sick individuals. The present study has as purpose to analyze, measure and describe the type of personality and if this determine whether to turn the consumption of substances "Alcohol and nicotine", in the military personnel Command of Infantry Brigade N°7 "Loja", thus allowing establish a plan of therapeutic intervention, with the goal of intervening in the pathology. Among the most relevant results of the present investigation it is concluded that the substance is consumed with greater frequency and quantity is the alcohol and to a lesser amount in the general population the nicotine. The type of personality of higher incidence to consume these substances in the individuals is evaluated: the borderline personality, dependent and compulsive.
