Being the central problem ¿How does flexibility and balance influence the functionality of older adults in the “Grandparents in movement ” program of the Obrapia neighborhood?, whose general objective was: Determine a program of physical exercises of flexibility and balance, that preserve the functionality of older adults of the program "Grandparents on the movement" of the Obrapia neighborhood of the city of Loja, period 2018-2019. During the process the scientific method was applied, inductive - deductive, descriptive, statistical. Regarding techniques and instruments: observation sheet, pre and post test among them: flexibility test of shoulders, trunk extension and legs to touch the toes, back extension, Likewise, static and dynamic equilibrium tests were used. With the help of the mentioned investigative elements, the following conclusion could be reached: The execution of planned exercises of flexibility and balance allowed to improve the functional capacity, body posture of the elderly, as well as their independence when performing daily activities, Regarding the recommendation, it is necessary to implement exercises focused on improving the capacity for flexibility and balance in the program “Grandparents on the movement” from the Obrapia neighborhood of the city of Loja. |
